Getting Setup

The procedure for arranging your storage whether residential or commercial is a simple process.

Moving In

We have an online space estimator designed to help you estimate how much storage space you will need. Simply click on the rooms and items and it will let you know how much space your goods need.
Once you have determined how much space you will need you can then complete the booking request form on the same page as the space estimator or call us on 466 5006 or 0800 270 270 to confirm the storage space you require.
Once you have received your quote for storage you can either come to the Gardens Storage or Kaikorai Storage to sign the Self Storage Agreement and go over insurance, security tags etc or you can download the necessary forms from this page – see the side bar. Once you have filled out the forms, you will need to bring them in as we must sight photo ID.
Once the paper work is complete, you will be given a security swipe tag, which will give you 24 hour access you your storage space. Our only restrictions apply at our Kaikorai facility with access to cars, boats, caravans and box options being Monday to Friday from 8.00am – 5.00pm with 24 hours notice being preferred. At Gardens access for cars and boats is 24/7. Our Box storage options (Kaikorai location only) are either 10 or 5 cubic metre units and are offered at more economical rates.
Our storage units require a padlock – you can either provide your own or you can purchase one from us.
Courtesy Trailer – we can provide you with a courtesy trailer, just let us know so we can arrange this.

Moving Out

If you don’t have a set ‘moving out’ date, you will just need to give us a weeks notice when you’ll be finished with your storage space by calling or emailing.
Final step is to return your swipe tag once you have cleaned out your storage space. Your bond will then be refunded.

Storage Units

1 Room worth of goods or light Storage 7-10 cubic metre space holds approximately one room of belongings.		2-3 Rooms of Storage or Medium Storage 12-17 cubic metre space holds the contents of 2-3 rooms.
2 Bedroom House lot 25-30 cubic metre space holds the contents of a 2 bedroom house.		3 bedroom house lot or business stock 30-35 cubic metre space holds the contents of an average 3 b/rm house, business stock, large archive storage, or tradesman’s equipment.
